Fun on Fridays – Go Outdoors!

This holiday weekend brings some of the warmest temperatures the Twin Cities has experienced in seven months.

It is time to get outdoors and enjoy what the city has to offer.

Try out your skill at mini-golf at the Walker on the Green – an artist inspired mini golf course. Each ticket also includes entrance to the museum. When you are there – walk around the sculpture garden too.

The Minnesota Arboretum has a butterfly exhibit. See beautiful butterflys and learn more about the plants that attract these important pollinators.

Take the whole family for a surrey bike ride around the Minnehaha Falls Park Area and see the beautiful trails.

Head on over to the Como Park  Zoo and Observatory to see the new summer garden exhibit or visit on Monday  at 10:30, 11:45 & 12:40 and see members of the Jack Brass Band lead a Second Line Parade through the zoo grounds!

Have a wonderful weekend – and enjoy the outdoor spaces of your own neighborhood.

“It is good to realize that if love and peace can prevail on earth, and if we can teach our children to honor nature's gifts, the joys and beauties of the outdoors will be here forever.” ~ Jimmy Carter
