The Mid-Semester Check In

The weather is changing, the sweaters are coming out… is anyone else asking, “Where is the school year going?” At this midway point through your student’s fall semester, it’s a good time to take a moment and reflect. Ask yourself, and ask your student some questions about how they feel the year is going so far:

  • What classes are they enjoying? Which ones are more difficult?
  • How do they feel about the workload this year?
  • Are their time management strategies working well, or in need of an adjustment?
  • Did any concerns arise at teacher conferences?

If there are areas where your student is struggling, or if they simply wish they felt more confident moving forward, tutoring may help. Maybe your elementary student is feeling frustrated when it comes to reading and writing. Maybe your middle school student has a big science project that they don’t know how to tackle.  Maybe your high school student is struggling in math or history, or preparing for their first SAT or ACT test. Perhaps your student is overwhelmed with school in general, and could use some help with general organization and study skills.

Whatever your situation, we have tutors who are ready and excited to work one-on-one with your student. As always, we match highly qualified tutors with students in all subject areas and for all grade levels. Contact us today to discuss your specific needs, and we look forward to helping your student succeed!
