Amy: German & STEM

German and STEM Tutor

Background
I am a former military brat who traveled across the United States and the world at a young age. After graduating from high school, I attended the University of Minnesota, where I focused on studying German. Eventually, I obtained my teaching license. I started my teaching career in Arizona, where I acquired teaching credentials in secondary math, art, and technology to teach career and technical education courses.

Currently, I hold a Master’s degree in curriculum and instruction, and my most recent teaching assignment involved teaching German and Computer Science classes.

Free Time
I live on a small farm that is home to alpacas, chickens, horses, dogs, and a cat. I get a lot of enjoyment from being outside, gardening, horseback riding, and tractoring, especially in the summertime.

Goals
I have a deep passion for learning and sharing knowledge with others. At the moment, my personal learning goals revolve around full stack web development, archery, and horsemanship. Although I am taking a break from the public school classroom to explore a part-time job opportunity in international relations, I still have a strong desire to work with kids whenever possible and help them become the best students they can be.
