Dustin: Chemistry, Math, Spanish

Chemistry, Math & Spanish Tutor

Background
Hi there! My name is Dustin – I’m a Wisconsinite who moved to Minnesota for college, where I attended the University of Minnesota for biology, chemistry, and Spanish. I followed with a teaching degree in both chemistry and life science, and a Master’s in Education. While in college, I studied abroad in New Zealand where I was able to take awesome courses in marine science! Currently, I’m teaching Chemistry at Irondale High School where I also co-advise Student Council, and am a teacher coach.

Free Time
Outside of teaching and learning new things, I enjoy traveling, reading, being outdoors, and staying active. In the summer, I have a blast water skiing with the Twin Cities River Rats Water Ski Show Team, putting on family-friendly ski shows and entertaining thousands!

Goals
In my personal life, I’d like to improve a couple of my Water Skiing skills – particularly back barefooting. In my professional life, I want to continue to improve at my ability to make connections and build relationships with students and foster a caring, engaging classroom environment.
