Hello! My name is Jenny and I live in Southwest Minneapolis. I have taught algebra, trigonometry and pre-calculus at Normandale Community College for 16 years. I am married, have two teenaged kids and a black lab named Maggie. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in math and criminology.at UM-Duluth, and my Master’s degree in math at UM-Twin Cities. As a teaching assistant during my graduate school years, I discovered my love for teaching and explaining math!
I love reading novels and memoirs, cooking and baking, watching documentaries, running around Minneapolis lakes and Minnehaha Creek, and spending time with my husband and kids. I am a dog lover! My beloved dog is older and is a “tripawd”, so she needs lots of attention and assistance these days. I enjoy spending time with and caring for her.
My goal, when working with students, is to give them confidence in their math abilities. I strive to explain the process as well as the ‘why’ in a way that makes sense.
