Tutor of the Month: November

• High school Science:  Physics, Chemistry, Biology
• High school Math:  Algebra, Geometry, Pre-calculus, Calculus 1

Hey everyone! I am a graduate student in the Initial Licensure Program at the University of Minnesota in secondary science education, which means I will be certified to teach high school biology, chemistry, and middle school science by the end of this academic year. I am excited about working with students inside and outside the classroom because it reflects students’ individual strengths and allows me to prepare better lessons.

My background in education began with coaching youth sports teams and guiding environmental education camps in the state of Washington. I have worked at an environmental education facility called Islandwood, The Pacific Science Center, The Seattle Aquarium, and spent time collecting data and doing research on commercial fishing vessels.

In my free time I love to fish, hike, swim, and enjoy the outdoors. My favorite fishing lure is the Rapala Countdown and my favorite sports team is the Michigan Wolverines (my alma mater). I look forward to working with your family in order to reduce the stress of school and make science/math classes more rewarding.
